Went to move a deer stand for my brother in law this afternoon and found a nest of baby squirrels in the corner of it when we got it down.  About 4 or 5 of them.

Bottle feed em. Put em in a rabbit cage and watch em grow. start with acorns when you think they are big enough. My grandma had squirrells for a really long time until they got ahold of grandpa's thumb and bit clean through his thumbnail.

Brother you got a chore on your hands, I've done it with about 10 over time, for the scout camp and ones we found. It was worth it though, we just bottle fed them with the pre-mixed puppy/kitten milk from petco, worked good and had no problems, and at about 6-8 weeks they were eatin peanuts, and pecans on there own...best of luck and if you need any assistance with details or anything just hollar..

I may have to hollar at yall for some assistance.  Never tried to raise a squirrel before.  If I had known they were up there I would have left the darn stand where it was.  They were in a little nest in the corner in the floor.  Didnt think much of it untill it started chirping after we got it on the ground.  Figured it was just and old bird nest or something.

I raised a fox squirrel for about 3 months until one of my dogs killed it. They are pretty fun to have around.

One time we raised two fox squirrels found in a tree that had been cut down. We released them back into the wild as soon as they could eat a nut without us having to crack it open. They were cute and fun but I heard that they can get viscious after they reach breeding age. good luck.

Just sent them off with a friend to let his wife raise them up a little.  She has more time to tend to them and will probably have the darn things riding around in her pocket book before long. LOL

Going to get one back when they are big eough to eat solids. Wink

My mom use to be a wildlife rehabilitator so we have had just bout everything lol, we had 3 squirrels one time that we raised from 1 week to fully grown. Everytime we fed them we would ring a bell, when we turned them out in the wild you could ring the bell and here they come. Its a job but its worth watching something like that grow!!!

Its funny this came up. We found a three legged squirrel this weekend while getting ready for a bull riding in Bandera. We found her laying in the chute and once my little girl and wife seen it it was over. Soooo THEY are now bottle feeding this thing named Nubbs. She just opened her eyes yesterday.

Had a rock squirrel for almost a year. Raised him on a bottle. If he didn't know you he would chase you all over the house. He loved grapes just not the skin on the out side. Had a kitten that would wrestle with him every day. They make great pets.
