I was watching the weather and all the coverage. It was a bad one. I know a girl that lives up there and it just missed them. They weren't at home and were real nervouse going to check. She said it was worse than what I was seeing on the news.

Agreed. I saw 1 when i was a kid going to miss to stay my grandparent 1 summer. We were on 20 headin east between west monroe and bosier city. It had just touched down and my dad poured the coal to the tck to get the he!! Out of there. When i was stationed in central ks, a friend n i went down to 1 of the family farm houses and the siren went off. We ran to the undeground shelter n less than 5 min heard the growl n howl of it coming through. Luckily, it was a mile away n didnt hurt much, other than destroyed several corn field n a lil roof damage to a couple houses in that area. I dont ever want to be directly in 1s path, shelter or no shelter.

Why should I trade one tyrant three thousand miles away for three thousand tyrants one mile away? An elected legislature can trample a man's rights as easily as a king can!

we get them every year here and several some times. I watched the one that hit baxter springs ks sunday. I can promise you people pay attention when the sirens go off and have a plan. I know i do. I don't mess around with it I've had several close encounters with them.I got stuck in walmart last year while a wall cloud went over in joplin and the fear was just to much. people were crying and praying like it was a church service. I guarantee I don't hear people say "if it gets me it gets me" around here they take cover.
