I was going to do a repeat breeding to Zipper and Fancy. That breedings litter turned out 100 percent hog and cattle dogs! I kept a male, Blaze. He is coming on strong for 15mo old. Finds and catches his own hogs, silent, medium range, athletic dog.

My Gator dog is a one dog show. Can take him and a bulldog and you will be in the beacon!! The last 3 hunts Gator has gotten alittle to rough for his own good! He has gotten 67 staples in 3 hunts! He is getting rougher each hunt and does not care how bad he gets cut up, he is going to hunt and catch! I have been having a bad feeeling that he is not going to come out on a hunt soon, so I decided to breed Gator to a gyp out of my Ringer dog bred to my buddies old Whiskey dog. Her name is Gypsy and she is a rough, silent, medium range dog. Hopefully this breeding will be a good one!!

Gator is the red cur.

Gypsy.

Ringer.

Whiskey.

Thanks guys. You never know how a first breeding will turn out, regardless how good the parents are. My Bo dog was bred 2x and the pups only had a 50 percent turn out rate. Bo was the best dog I have owned! Then my Zipper dog who is a good RCD, and could not come close to Bo in hunting, turns out phenomenal pups!

Justin. I never hunted with Whiskey. She was a older dog when I saw her. She only had one pup from the breeding to Ringer and then she died with in the year. My Ringer dog was a Badass! No bark, all bite, go yonder and grab type dog! He got killed a year ago. Would love to get the hunt of Gator and the bite of Ringer out of this breeding!!

What old line of dogs is your blood out of. Do you know of anyone who is "working" cattle with any of your blood. I'm looking for a cowdog prospect in the near future. How do these dogs work on a hog. Are they ass grabbers or do they stop from the front.

Warrant. This is a first breeding of these two. The male Gator (2.5yrs old) is out of a Partin/Ben breeding that were cattle dogs. The female is out of my Ringer dog and a friends dog. Ringer is out of cattle and hog dogs from the Sebring area. He was to rough on cattle so that is how I got him. I bred Ringer 2x. One to a female out of dogs named Josie, and all those pups were used on hogs. They were all very catchy and rough, athletic dogs. Then 1x to Whiskey. She only had the 1 gyp. I only keep males so my buddy has here. My friends dog Whiskey came from a rancher up in North Florida. He was breeding his own for cattle work for yrs, and Whiskey wanted to hunt hogs and not cattle, but the other 3 the rancher kept were good cattle dogs.

Gator will go to the front of the hog and if he bays, will stay there, if they break he will hit their ass/nuts and sit them down and if he still bays and did not catch, he will stay out front till another dog shows up and then they usually catch out. I have not hunted Gypsy, my buddy who has my dogs and helps me hunt and finish dogs has. She is a out front, rough bay dog. Not as much catch as the Gator, but will catch smaller hogs and bay the rank ones.

My breeding of Zipper (Campbell family's Florida Cur dog) to Fancy (Messick/Morgan) produced hog and cattle dogs. The male I kept is only used on hogs, but watching him on hogs I believe he would do very good! If he bays, it's out front, slobbering in the hogs face, if charged, side steps and usually catches! I think they would work on cattle, but they might be catchy! Ringer was that way. He was catching out on the cattle, then the same thing with hogs, so that's why I got him.
