I saw the video. It was just dogs baying nothing bad. The bad part was apparently its illeagal in Florida to bay pigs in a pen.

And that's why I don't post pictures or videos. Out here in Loxahatchee we use to be able to train dogs in the yard till our city folk neighbors moved in. They claim to love the country aspect of where we live yet they don't like farm animals " the smells or sounds" and they cut all the damn trees out of the yard. I can't wait to move out of fl.

Funny thing about city folk. They all love the country but always want to turn it into the city.

Yeah it sounds pretty bad and I never seen the dogs actually bite the hog as stated in the police report but I didn't know there was always against baying a pig in a pen in Florida I'm not from there but I've seen people's videos from there

im sure its going to get like that everywhere. i know over here in bama they passed a law several years back where hogs couldnt be transported on state roads alive but i heard the other day that all hogs have to be killed when they are caught with dogs and even trapped hogs have to be killed right there, they say its even againts the law if you own the land and want to barr a hog or catch one and let it go where you caught it. its not looking in our favor for dog hunters for the next few years.

Facebook and Social Media is about the worst thing to happen to Hog Hunting. It is 100% illegal to put dogs in a pen on a hog in Florida. It has been since the mid 90's.  This is actually one of the ones not so bad. I have seen ones with 3 70# bulldogs "catching" a 20# shoat. Yet people feel the need to post it all over Facebook along with dogs cut all over.

The kid claims on Facebook " how else was I supposed to get a 80# barr out of the pen, just grab it?"

I am all for training dogs and I have a pen full of hogs. But if your gonna do something illegal you should know better than to put your name, address, video the activity then post it on the internet for the world to see!

In Florida its against the law to even have a feral pig in a pen without a license from the state for a feral pig holding facility. And at no time can a dog, cat or any other kind of animal be in or on the facility, much less baying or catching. The only legal place to train hogdogs is in the woods. You have to have a license to trap and/or transport.  I hope it's not in my lifetime (I'm 58) but some of you younger folks WILL live to see the day that doggin is made illegal for hogs. Texas will probably be the last state to fold to the pressure, but just look at Tennessee they made it illegal there already.

yea i have some buddys in tenesse that cant hog hunt there they have to go to georgia and down here to bama to hunt. but they still have a few seasons up there for bear and coon and squirrel, so they have a few leupolds in the law, they can say they are squirrel hunting are whatever and if their dog trashes on a hog they can kill it and take it out of the woods, they just cant be " hog hunting" its not going to get any better any where only worse

X2. It's out of control now. It's bad enough that animal rights is calling it hog-dog fighting and then these kids go online and post videos of these huge dogs tearing a little shoat to shreds. Makes people that don't know any better think were savages

Sir that's the truth. It's sad that a company called minto just bought the last big farm here in Loxahatchee. In the next 10-15 years they are going to build 6500 homes. Most of us are trying to stop this from happening they have already been approved for 2500 homes.  In the past two years we've gotten our first gas stations and we just got our first Mcdonalds. We have one high school that's already over crowded. And we mostly have two lane roads and only two ways in or out. It's sure is sad that all of our dirt roads are now paved. Can't even ride our horses out here without some jackass flying past you not slowing down one bit. Sorry for the rant. Just makes my blood boil.

There is an exception in the law here in florida.  It states except for the purpose of hunting or accepted methods of training.  Had a very long discussion with a couple attorneys the other day for a similar case in my county.
