I use safe guard suspension and pyrantel pamoate. I use the safe guard every third month and the pyrantel on all the other months. My dogs are off the ground so I could probably just worm every 6 months but it's not expensive to worm them and it keeps me at ease.

That's the safe guard I use too. I like it better than the paste. Do you give yours 3 days in a row or just once? I give mine for 3 days on the months I use it but some ppl I know just give it for one day.

I was using the safeguard 3 days in a row for a while . but do to it not killing all kinds of tapes I went back to the praziquantel .  I now use the ivomect + praziquantel in the horse wormer paste and solved the problem .   the fenbendozole found in safeguard WILL NOT  kill all of the tapes , some types are resistant to it .  I believe the wormer I am on now is called equi-max . the safeguard worked for me fine in Waxahachie but these east texas tapes are tough   lol .

It's 1 cc per 4.4 pounds x 3 days. It's very safe so I usually give enough to worm 10 lbs over.

I'm not the argumentative type but the dosage for fenbendazole is 22.7mg/lb in dogs. So the 100mg/ml safeguard will treat about 4 lbs of dog per cc. A 50 lb dog would get about 12cc out of a 125ml bottle for 3 days or 36 cc total across the 3 days so you'd still have 89 cc left over. 1/10 cc per 10 pounds is more along ivomec dosage and would only be giving like 1 mg/lb of fenbendazole. If it works for you that's great but that's not enough in a typical scenario.
