Nothing will be done until all the dog running groups start working together. Fox hunters association to start with.

It's been the talk for awhile now. First they were going to implement no hog hunting period, kind of like Kansas did. Now, the talk is just outlawing dog running (hogs only).

I talked to a conservation agent about it recently, and he says the ruling will be in place by fall.

What I find interesting, in our county, we caught and killed more hogs with dogs this past year in a 3 month period than our conservation department did all year. Yet they always know what is best.......

only thing them elected officials know how to do is to screw something up. they try to fix what aint broken, and then when they realize their fascinating idea/s, its to late to fix their screw up in a timely manner. to bad they don't catch a case of fast acting aids

I fear that all dog hunting will be banned in every state in my lifetime. Not only do the anti hunters rally against us but our fellow hunters as well. Behind most of these dog bans is an angry deer hunter who thinks dogs will ruin his hunt. Minnesota has never had a hound season for bear because of the deer hunters association. Antis never had to spend a dime there. What are the states reason for the ban?

U can't make a difference in an organization unless u are an active member. From the outside u can just complain. I'm not trying to be rude or anything but I know I am a member and officer of our local dog hunters association. I hear people complain and say something needs done then the same person either won't join or won't step up and make an effort to institute change. It takes numbers and dedicated persons to get something done. I would bet if ur local has 1000 members only 10 do all the work and the rest complain nothing is being done. Our group is young and we are trying but a tree was not a tree in a year or even 2. Without the roots it falls and without a trunk it won't stand. Without the leaves it starves. U have to want to be part of it to make it grow.

I would join ours if the guy over it would ever return a phone call im not paying him money to run a web site I like to know where my money goes not just take someones word for it.I've tried to call him several times and no dice. so as far as im concerned mo doesn't have a assoc. it just has a guy selling t shirts and running a webb site.he talks to the conservation he says but far as i can tell thats about it.I've tried to contact him to find out if there is any accountability with money and offer help fundraising if he can prove he will do something besides waste my time and money.
I'm sure he is trying something but then so am I so thanks for not being rude.

I see ur point no doubt. That was the same place I was when this one started up. I was able to contact the person that started it and found him to be sincere. If it is legit there should be paperwork on file with the state. U can't be a non profit without it. If u can't contact him direct maybe try thru other members that can clear the way. I don't trust shady people at all. Not answering or returning calls sheds that shady light.
