I've had some bad luck here lately been having trouble stoping them we've jump a few n got out ran we saw fresh poo n it was filled with wheat went back after the rain n hoping dogs would work a trail since it had been real dry. Sure enough they went to the wheat field and jumped one bedding down n flat out got out ran kinda glad he was to much hog for the pups.

Kid7 it always seems to start off that way in the fields I believe the dogs get use to hunting brush and wooded areas in the off season then get thrown into a field and have some trouble stopping em... It's just a matter of time before the dogs figure out how to keep em at bay the hogs are defenitly in the fields just have to seal the deal and get the catch dogs in there. It's a totally different ball game

Hogs hitting the wheat in Georgia. I've watched my dogs running hogs in the wheat. It's hard for the dogs to keep up with a hog in the wheat. It's thick and dry.

We've been catching quite a few bedding down in wheat fields here lately. It won't be long before the maize and corn will be up then they'll be like wild fire around where I live.
