Those dogs come up every now and then. I would never ever and I mean never use one for hunting period. That is a law suit in the making. They make the meanest dog you ever saw look like nothing. They were made for pure aggression. When the breeder can't even take me in a kennel with him because I will get attacked that is not breed to release in the woods. They will end up killing dogs, people, or who knows what. Plus add in their size and you have a big problem. At least with pits there is control. I know some good breeders but they are only for personal protection and have to be put up if any guest is coming over and they are not even safe with family members. They are a one person dog and that is it.

These are not CD's. Also never cross a pit with a guardian dog of any breed. That is asking for trouble. There was 1 kid and 1 woman killed in AR last year. Both dogs were pit mastif crosses. Both were from the same litter. The last thing u want is a dog that has strong guarding protection instinct crossed with one that will go to the end. This breed may have a place in this world but public or the woods is not it unless ur are in a survival situation.

So far overall the dogo...corso is a better guard dog but little soft. Better with family. Dogo kinda one owner dog but hardcore and loyal. Presa don't give a dam. Strong will. Pain tolerance Maby even more than dogo. Good health no major issues. Corso prone to cherry eye. Dogo skin issues. First pic dogo then presa then corso.......maby presa more than dogo.....still young

do u know if anybody ever crossed them with a pit or cur dog The pit does just fine on it's own. I also like the Dogo for size. I would not make that cross. Be real careful making crosses you could end up losing a good dog to find out the cross is just too aggressive. I like big dogs and my feed bill proves but good breeds have already been found to hunt hogs. Having seen the Presa Canario I know that I don't want to mess with them or have one in my yard. I have had enough problems with neighbors and neighbor's dogs. To me getting a Presa is like putting dynomite in the attack. When it starts sweating you might lose everything maybe your whole family and maybe the neighbors too. I don't know a land owner that would want one on their land.

Here's my experience with them. Guy my buddy hunted with had one. Lead in catch dog. Turn him loose, done deal. Good dog. Not aggressive at all, locked on an ear and wouldn't let go for anything. So he bred him to a cur dog to get more wind. I ended up with a puppy for some reason and I don't know wat happened to the litter but the puppy that I got was the dumbest dog I've ever been around. Bit everything it could get its mouth on. Including me, other dogs, horses, cows, anything. And on top of that I couldn't catch him for anything. And wen I did, he would bite the hell out of me. I wound NOT suggest messing with one.
