Djhogdoggers were nice enough to invite myself, joshstokley and another friend of ours on a hunt last night at one of their crop spots outside dayton. The party started quick fast and in a hurry with a nice barr hog being caught right off the bat. Im still surprised that this ol hog didn't take us on a hike, for a barr he was long tall and skinny, built to run, however he didn't make it far from the initial bay, 10yds or so into the corn he was bayed and stopped. We were 2 buggies back from Mrs. James and Mrs. Dinah when all of the sudden they took off full speed ahead, i looked at the garmin and it showed my 2 dogs camo and skeeter bayed and off we went. We hopped out and ran into the corn to hear/ see Mrs. Dinah runnin back out yellin big hog get the cd's, well we eased in and watched the show waitin on the cd's and while they were grabbing the cd's my skeeter pup (smoke x bonnie cross) and their old dog red decided they didn't need a cd and both hung that big devil one on each ear and we had a caught and hobbled hog just like that. My camo dog took a couple good ones and will be out for a couple weeks but will be fine, such is the life of a rough dog I reckon, wouldn't have it any other way. My ol smoke dog didn't get in on the action and i guess was mad at us so he decided to roll out and leave us for the better part of 4 hours and of course his collar quit workin lol, he showed back up as we were gettin ready to go look for him at 4 this mornin so we loaded up and called it a night. Good hunt with some great folks, can't wait to do it again!

Justin, I hope that Camo is doing ok. We had a fun group of people last night. We enjoyed the company. Catching a big barr hog was a bonus. I know that the curs had him by the ears but my hat is off to Artie for legging that big sucker without a catchdog on him. He was bucking and spinning with the dogs on him when we got in there.

Ol' Smoke always has liked to go find his own hog. Lol .....and he has figured out how to turn those tracking collars off. Lol

Actually the dogs that we had on that hog was Red and Bo. Those yellows were Artie's or Josh's. Im not sure which.

Like this?

If so y'all need to put some heat on those hogs and send them back north!

Pretty close casey, from what I can see. They were both notched right down the middle. I think we put a little too much heat on this one lol! Im still surprised he didn't run on us, he was built for it thats for sure, i guess he felt like fightin.

Heck. I would love to findnout where he was caught and barred so we can get an idea of how far these barrs travel. Nothing caught on this farm is cut or marked. Except for the cut under the front leg. Lol
