I have learned that when u have to many dogs u seem to get more dogs cut up a lot easier cuz they seem to trip over each other when a hog rushes them I us two or three on the ground and one or two in the box to help on a running hog and then a cd or two

I hate a pile of dogs and that is what I get on a hog when they find them. Personally like 3 to 4 dogs. Caught hogs with more caught hogs with less.

I've got a buddy that caught a heck of a boar hog with just one cur/pit one time. And I've seen a rancher bring a horse trailer with four horses and around 10 dogs plus six that the land owner had and two I had. Caught six in an hour and a half. There were only a couple ruff dogs in the group so the hogs weren't chewed up, plus the guys on horse back were at the bay with in a minute or two everytime. But that's how they have hunted for a long time. No bulldogs just a couple real rough curs and some baydogs that would sure nuff find hogs.
To each their own on this one:)
I like two grown dogs and a pup with a catch dog when I go.
