Is it just me or does every one see this site going down because of
facebook and you tube and twitter??? Just curious I don't see a lot of
old faces and new faces on here anymore.. I don't have a Facebook
But my wife and kids do and all they say is " look at this hog and look at
this video this person put up" or "look at this dog for sale.!!" Hell my post is still
on the 2nd page" I use to have to go back 20 pages to find it, "now I go
back 2 pages were did every body go, use to be a lot of post of hogs
and stories.

every now and then i don't look on here as much either just because to busy making dogs and slaying hogs. But a lot of people hunt 2 to 3 times a week and they have to sleep some times and with summer around less people hunting during the day.. but not me .. And familys are wanting to get out and enjoy the summer with there youngsters,,, just my guess.

Sure slows down in the summer. I enjoy the conversation on different subjects. U don't get that on FB. The pages there are nothing more than a pissing contest between punks with lil man syndrome.

All I see on the Facebook pages are a bunch of dog peddlers. If sends to always be the same group of people on the pages. I like this site there send to be more people you can trust on here.

Never helps to think u know it all. I have learned some stuff here and also given advice that was supported by others. In any endeavor info is key. An open mind is needed to continue to learn. A man may find he does or does not agree with the info given but may find points that could improve his effort.

In my post above, I wasn't referring to myself but to many of those whom I have met over the years and that I respect as basically "knowing what they're doing" if you don't voice your opinion you will never no if it's good or bad or right or wrong. Respected dog-men typically don't post information seeking approval in what they're doing, but rather to simply help others. When they are shot down and told that what they've been doing for years is wrong, they go away. Unfortunate for the younger guys that truly want to learn, but thats just the way it is. The problem with a lot (but not all) of the younger generation is that they are quick to post, share, or form opinions based on what they've heard along the way without any real world experience to back it up. |

It really gets rediculous on Facebook sites. I seen one post where a guy was concerned about running his dogs in the heat and wantin advice and turned into a pissing match where some guy was wanting to bet 5k$ that he could catch more hogs lol. I mean really??? My dogs would be dead and gone by time I could save that much cash for a bet. lol. I don't post on those sites anymore but it sure is entertaining to say the least
