I had one I bought from will Roberts from around Baton Rouge and he was a machine all you had to do was put a collar on him and place his feet on the ground and he was gone. One of the more rangey dogs I've owned. Their just natural hunters all I had to do was get him in on one bay and it was game over he figured it out from there and was straight only thing I had to shock him off of was cows. Sadly he was a hair to gritty and met his demise last fall. Their definitely not for everyone hunting style.

Training dogs is not about quantity, it's more about timing, the right situations, and proper guidance...After that it's up to the dog... A hunting dog is born not made...

My parker is out of Will Robert and Dustin Reeves Double bred off Tracker with the sire being Sass/goofy. My parker is starting to shine good and is getting plenty of hogs under his collar! Like goose87 said comes natural no training needed! Just feed them tracks ... I got a parker cross pup that's acting a fool at only 5 months I'm holding her back to grow a little but she knows the game pretty well!

I have one that's a lil over three years old, named Rambo. I picked him up earlier this year from a guy who hadn't hunted him in over a year. He gets better and better each hunt. I'm really impressed with him. Where he come from, you know his background?

One gyp I got now is a Rock x Sassy, that came from Dustin as a pup. She is a pretty nice dog.

This should be how she bred. I have looked through Larry's site for awhile trying to figure out most of the dogs. I have most of it written down. I am not sure if Dustin kept her or sold her. Seems like I read somewhere that Will had a Sassy also, but don't quote me on that. Maybe Mr. Larry can chime in.

I hunted with a Goofy x Sassy gyp last week. Small framed, real dark colored. She was a real nice dog. Stayed busy, and stayed hunting until she found the hogs we were looking for, there were a few staying in a small patch of woods. She is for a friend of mine, and he uses her for his bigger farms cause she is too long range for his smaller places.

My goofy x sassy male shown in the above picture must not be a typical Parker, he stays busy the whole time we hunting but he doesnt go past 200 unless he's on a hog. He go out and make a circle and come back check up and then he's off again. But me and the guys I hunt with prefer short to medium range dogs. We walk hunt with the dogs in the marsh most of the time.

200 yards in the marsh is plenty, lol. I have done the long range dogs in the marsh, and never wanna make that 700 yard walk again, that's for sure.
