I was wondering if anybody has one.or know of some one that uses them on cows. My wife got me a couple puppies abd just wanted to know what I'm getting my self into

i had some years ago . mine had the handle of a border collie and grit of a cur and barked when stopping cattle . alot of them have been watered down by breeders and trial people .
who did yours come from ?

My buddy in southern Iowa raises them they are bad little burgers they fear nothing and can stop a mean bull

As with any working breed there is variation. I have seen some very nice Hangin Tree dogs that did a good job handling cattle. Most handlers use them with commands similar to working Border Collies. Where are you located?

i believe i just got one given to me yesterday older gentlemen said he was the dog to have when he was younger done the cow deal an hog.. said hed make a good pup trainer than also gave me a 11/5 cat gyp registered cow gyp but im not much in need of a cow dog..
