the part that makes me mad about when people do it is they did it to intentionally hurt someone's dogs... I know every time the dogs go out they can get hurt, but knowing someone went the extra mile to try and get the dogs hurtin is bs

Pigs do travel. Come on if a hunters worried about his dog getting hurt he might want to consider another way of hog hunting. I mean what would of happened if the guy that cut his ears left the pig a gun also. Not trying to b an ass but that happens everywhere. I've caught many of pigs with no ears. Just makes the game interesting for me to see if my dogs r able to catch hogs with no ears. And they've proved to me they can.

I always worry that I might not bring one of my dogs home. My dogs are my family does that mean I shouldn't hunt?. For a person to intentionally cut off a hogs ear out of spite to kill a mans/woman's dog it bull #2. Man up and deal with the person face to face. Since I can remember we've only caught one hog with both ears missing.

Monty I havent seen it around here either, but when Riley and I hunted down by Brady we caught 2 barrs w/o ears that were close to 200 lbs if I remember, also caught a 10 lb piglet that had both his ears halfway cut off and nuts cut.  The land owner said he does that but never said why.  i dont get it either.  Leave something on their ear to catch atleast.  Notch them how you want if you are just wanting to come across the pig again, but there should be something atleast half if you ask me...

With or without ears hogs can cut and kill your dogs this is the chance you take. if people are doing this it makes no sence but you can't hunt scared or be on the what if side all the time if your dog is going to get killed they will probly get killed with or with out ears just my thought

Dodge girl if u worry about a dog not coming home I would consider leaving them as pets. Every time I load up the dogs my hopes r to find the rankest pigs in my area. Yes I treat my dogs as family to but when I cut them loose the game changes and some may b dead the next time I see them but in reality I put them in that situation because I wanted hog dogs. Id much rather get a dog killed by a pig with no ears than a gun or being stollen.

As hunter  when I hunt ppl places the landowners don't want any more hogs on there  place if u  barr a hog u r still turning those hogs out to do tons of dollars worth of damage to the land.even know they can't reproduce they r still causing damage. And if the landowners ever knew that I was to turn one back out I would not be hunting there anymore.
