thank you Judge...when you say delete everything do you mean delete all the collars and then re-enter them?

I plugged in to the garmin website...first thing it said was for me to download"Garmin Communicator Plugin"...the computer has been busy for over 30 minutes. ..I Will leave it downloading and go to bed...I think that is the first step before downloading what I need. ..

here is the fix for my astro 220 not pointing in the right direction...

1. Press the "map" button

2. press the menu button and highlight "Setup Map"

3. Press the "enter" button

4. Highlight the "window" next to  Orientation and press "enter"
if it is reading in that window "track up" then that is your problem...

5.schroll to "North Up" and hit "enter" and now I/you will know which direction the dogs are located/running...

finally was able to down load Garmin webupdater and updated my astro 220...they were very helpful and it didn't take long...they said I should now have more satellites and more range...drop dogs a lot less...hopefully I won't have hook up to my long range antenna as often...

so now I can download without assistance...and Garmin gives outstanding service...
