5 year old hog dog.
From Douglas Mason's dogs.
She is my best dog but she killed my puppy. She was the dog that ran free and wouldn't leave the yard but she started eating the other dogs food so I chained her up. After that she became territorial about her chain space.
Silent on track.
95% trash broke. She sometimes trashes when she knows you're heading back to the truck after a dry hunt. Never messes with cattle horses or deer.
Gets along in the dog box with everything.
Gun shy.
Short medium range. Sometimes walks right behind you if there's no scent. If it's hoggy she's busy hunting. If there's a hog to be found she is ALWAYS the lead dog on it or right behind. She's never nearby when a track is found. I'd say I catch 80% of the hogs she starts to track. She has runs hogs several miles and hours before. She doesn't give up easily but isnt a hound either. She bays loose and rarely gets cut but is rough on the rear of a running hog.
She is scared of strangers, traveled roads, unfamiliar vehicles and gun shots.
She is weird but a good dog.
