Travis and I met up this morning to try and help out a ranch catch a hog they ve had issues with the past two years rooting up their fields for whitetail. Started the morning off at what looked like fresh rooting but no tracks. After driving around looking for tracks we decided to try back by the rooting on the other side of the woods. We had a few dogs on the ground when lady burnt off and started baying. Percy and Chrissy burnt to her. Turned shiner loose behind them before we made our way around to them and turned the pups to the grown dogs. We had a nice solid bay going. Walked in turned tug and peewee loose and managed to get the hog caught and killed. Lost a dog and a few got cut pretty bad, but all in all it was a good hunt. Rip shiner

Heck of a hog!  Takes some good catch dogs to take care of one like that.

Hate it that you lost a dog though.  But, when you lose em like that, you know that dog gave it all he had.

Thanks guys, yea it's not fun loosing dogs that are a little older, and c. Ledyard I agree at least it was on a big one. Guess the pups are goin to have to fill the shoes about all I have left is pups. I have plenty of confidence in the blood supporting those pups I m feedin. Just time and swine now and weed through em.
