Maybe I'm just becoming more jaded towards people as I get older, but I'm really finding more and more enjoyment out of my solo hunts lately. Went out to my lease alone this weekend to do a little hunting. Shot a nice mess of dove and then caught this boar Sat night. It seems that the 175-225 lb boars with straight daggers tear my dogs up the worst so I was surprised to find the dogs didn't have a scratch after catching this guy. He broke the bay twice and covered about 1.5 miles before they finally got him shut down for good. After I got him down it looked like he lost an eye at some point (maybe poked by a stick?). Walked my pit all the way in to about 20 yds before letting him loose. He hit him on the same side as that bad eye and a few seconds later I had him on the ground.

Nice. I also enjoy solo hunting. My dogs always seem to hunt and do better when its just me and my own dogs
