what is the best work boot for comfort???

Ive worn many different style of slip on and lace up boots (Ariat, Justin, Wolverine, Red Wing- you name it).  I've also work several types of lace up boots when I was in service and I still wear them as a contractor.  I recommend you look at some other manufacturers such as Belleville and Rocky.  There are a bunch of manufacturers that make both western style and military or swat style boots.  I manage a warehouse and I usually have a couple hundred pairs of boots on my shelves- most employees prefer the Belleville boots.

I will agree, i just bought these bellvilles http://www.bellevilleboot.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=89 and like them ALOT. Unfortunately, they dont offer that style in safety toed but i like them none the less. They are light weight, water resistant and very comfortable. Luckly, my company does not require safety toe shoes/boots.

Ive always liked my red wings (Made in USA), not the crappy import versions they also sell. But the price is always a premium. My buddy has started wearing Thourogood's, Made in America and he says they are hard to beat and not as pricey as redwings. I'm gonna try them next.

I owned a pair of thorogoods (?spelling?) and I agree, they were extremely comfortable. That was back in 2007, if they have came out with more choices in style, I will have to try them once again.

I like my atiats a bunch been thru several different brands and I think even the comfortable boots get tuff to wear when they get wore out but I normally switch out my insoles 5-6 months after buying most boots and when my feet start to hurt I put new ones in till I wear out the boots but atiats seem to keep me happy most of the boots mentioned I've used and most I didn't like so In my opinion it's what ur feet like and I think insoles are the key to  keeping comfortable

I like my twisted x for most days unless im going to be on concrete then I put on my hunting shoes underarmor. They are by far the most comfortable thing I have ever worn and were right out of the box

Being a big flat footed fat boy that's works on his feet all day on concrete custom fitted redwings are worth every penny.

I've tried Redwings, Ariat, Irish Setter, Wolverines, and Justin. I'm convinced Ariat are my type....for comfort. As far as durability-I have to get a new pair every 6-9 months......that's the most they all have lasted from my experience. And that adds up at $150-200 a pair. I buy ariat because of the comfort.....my 2nd choice would be Redwing.
