Jesse aka Lionandboarhunter and I went last night and got this boar, had several very interesting things happen during the hunt I'll let Jesse tell those (if he wants to).
He weighed 308, with a cutter that was 4 inches long and 3 inches at base, grinder was 5 inches long and 4.5 at base.
Notice i said cutter and grinder not cutters or grinders.............that is because he didnt have anything on the other side he still would have scored 511 WWT sure wish he had something on the other side anything would have helped.
Jesse did some fine John Wayne from the hip shooting with my 44 to kill him, the first shot all but blew his ear off at his skull without even makin him flinch the second shot under the eye 4 inches off the end of the 44 droped him in his tracks.

He's a beast.

Are there a lot of hogs around down there or are they pretty few and far between?

soon as we get all the little ones killed out we will start on the big ones chris

kevin not sure where you live or what you call alot of hogs, there are just enough to keep me happy and busy but not eoungh that every boy that owns a dog can go catch one, also not so many that every once in a while we get reminded of why its called hunting; mostly places here are hard to get unless you are well connected and have a very good rep

this is what we have caught for years and years and .........well you get the pic.....nothing has change except we both know how to use the net now, we will never get rid of them altogether here in the hill country, there are more now than when I started with my dad 35+ yrs ago even with there being 10xs more hunters today

Dang!!! It must have been pretty dog gone chilly last night in the hill country to be wearing a Carhart.  It sure wasn't that nice down here.  We would have died in a jacket for sure.

you should tell them about your friend waiting at your truck and the new friend we met at the feeder that wanted a ride on the box with you
