Got another problem now! My big blue tick and one of my florida curs got in a fight through the pen and the curs ear was cut pretty bad. After putting a bunch of gauze and and tape on it and leaving him in the pen the bleeding finally stopped.  This is an issue ive had several times in the past and I figured I would ask for some suggestions on quicker and easier ways to stop the ear from bleeding so bad. Thanks in advance!

You can also apply styptic powder to clot the wound. Ears tend to take forever to heal and reopen alot, especially if the dog shakes his head alot and whenever their blood pressure gets elevated. If  he shakes his head constantly you can do a head wrap  with gauze. Kinds looks like a bonnet, that way the ear stays stationary.

First step would be to prevent the kennel fighting by seperating them further or putting a plywood or sheetmetal divider between them two, if seperating them further is not an option. As for stopping the ear from bleed, the old timey slip over cloths line pins and gause and like mrs dianna said, wrap the head to prevent ear movement for a day.

Glad I found this info. I had a dog come back from a hunt with both tips of her ear bleeding. It was such a minor wound that I couldnt find where it was coming from on either ear. But it bled and bled and bled. I finally got it stopped but when my wife got home she came running in the house going "baby something is wrong with dixie , theres blood all over her kennel !!! " lol...she had been out there shaking her head and it looked like something horrible had happened in her pen.
