Well two weekends ago I got a call from Ray, said he wanted to go hunting with us on some of our hunting spots, I told him it was to wet with all the rain we had so we sheduled a hunt for the next weekend. I met Ray and his grandfather John a few months ago on a post saying they needed some places to hunt on, I replied and invited them to hunt with us. Well they drove a few hours to my place and we took them on a long hunt that ended up with nothing Embarrassed  Well Sunday morning they drove in around 4:30, I loaded up some of my dogs and woke my Dad and my friend Cody up. Once they wiped the scum from there eyes we headed for a place that we know has lots of hogs on it. We turned my two strike dogs out and they turned out two dogs that they brought along with them. About 30 minutes into the hunt we had a bay going on, we got around 200 yds from the bay and we cut my RCD's to them.  Once they hit I turned my CD loose, he went in and hit hard. Ray and I ran through some thick brush with his grandfather right behind us. When we got to the hog I jumped on him and Ray and Cody hobbled him up. John and my Dad got the dogs back and looked them over for any cuts. My CD was cut and bleeding from his leg, my young strike dog had a big gash on his chest and a poke on his hind leg, Ray and Johns strike dog looked like it went through a meat grinder. It had cuts all over the chest and front legs, I didn't even have to ask them if it was gritty, I knew the answer right away. Their dog being so gritty helped shut the hog down real quick. After we got the dogs all stapled up and stuff Ray looked at me with a big grin and said this was prolly the biggest hog he has been on. Right away I was proud that I helped a youngster like Ray accomplish that. We had a great hunt and all the dogs are fine. I really enjoyed hunting with Ray and John, their super nice and aren't afraid to get in there and get it done.
