I know this was a little while ago but I thought I would post it. This was back in Feb. when it was still cold .. My buddy who decided not swim was snapping pics tha whole time and I never knew it. Well here is the story in short.. We had already caught two smaller boars that morning.. then we struck this one.. he broke and ran straight for the river.. I figured he would jump in but he decided not 2 and I was able to get close and turn the pitt aloose.. but he was a fighter and threw my bulldog off and bailed in the water.. tha funny thing was the hog thought he beat us.. he got on the other side of the bank and kinda strutted around looked at us and walked off slowly.. But tha dogs kept coming.. and they bayed him in the closest group of trees so we went to em in that freezing cold water.. i had to sheed the boots and shirt to swim better.. well we got to the hog and this time my pitt didnt miss.. We got him tied and drug to the bank with no shirt or shoes on.. that wind was whiping threw that bottom luckly my buddy went to his house and got this little boat for us so we didnt have to swim back... Well the hog weighed around 200.. thought he was alot bigger though when he was standing on the other bank looking at us.. probally would have went and got the boat if I would of known they had one but o well.. Sorry bout the long johns.. lol the pants I had own was soaking wouldnt dry out quick enough... So i shed down to my second layer.. Tha hog jumping in!!  Then the dogs jumping in and swiming after him  Then here we come.. That water was cold..  Luckly my buddy found a boat so we didnt have to swim back.. he forgot to bring a paddle so we had to find one..lol  Then finally after all that.. we got on the 4-wheeler  |

Thats a cool(cold) hunt, nice action pics, can almost see the shivering. and dang nice hog.

Good looking boar hog and nice woods. I haven't been cold since last Feb so it seems odd to see the jackets,long johns and such! I can't wait until it cools off some. Been too hot for too long here..........

Looks like that hog was thinking,"If you want me your going to get wet". Lucky you had a little john boat or that hog would not have made it out of the woods alive  .Way to do work, Good hunting guys! |

I love the picture of you guys hitting the water......The dude on the left went completly under and I notice you have a dog with manners....he let you guys hit the cold water first. LOL |

Thanx for all the post everyone.. I cant wait till it gets this type of weather again.. It was cold but would do it again in a heart beat.. Matt I am always down for swimming when it comes to getting a hog.. Idk wut it is but Iam always the first one in.. he was a fighter too cut all of em a little.. he sure did want to make us work 4 him..an I like that pic 2 of us swiming he is totally under water.. I was just gunna paddle over there and i look beisde me and buddy is going all the way under.. thanks everyone
