Who hunts off mules?

The story says they just happen to run into a mountain lion, but the pictures say otherwise. You can see the walkers have tracking collars.

Anyways my point is this is the second story I've heard about mules getting real evolved in the hunt. The first was my buddy telling me he went hunting with some guy years back that had mules that could find their own hog and honored bays. Is this typical of mule? If so I think I might want one.

yeh i got one that will wind a hog and catch when needed..

no seriuosly my mules can smell a hog if its fresh, they will be blowing and snorting but the dogs are already gone..

as far as honoring a bay, i could say my mule will honor a bay, he has went to enough of them,, when he hears dogs baying he knows its on and i can haul a$$ thru the brush and he is going that direction.

i think you better stick with the dogs finding a good winding mule is dang tuff..
