I ordered some from AG-MED in Goliad and I am very pleased with them.  The tag is very thick and the text is very deep cut, pretty cheap to.

I have alwyas ordered my collars and nameplates through NightLite also. But, the last two times I have done so, the collars have had cheap buckles (which my dogs break) and every collar has lost at least one rivet, if not the whole nameplate, the first trip to the woods. Needless to say, I am looking for a new place to buy good collars with nameplates........

If any of you guys know a place to buy good quality nylon collars with heavy buckles, please post.

Peewee, you are right, the NightLite plates USED to be good and heavy, like the one you say is five years old. The last two sets I have ordered from them have been so thin you can almost see through them! You can bend them with two fingers, thats why they don't stay on the collars.

I did get new nameplates made at a trade show and put them on the collars I had. They cost $1/each at the hunting show.

It just seems hard to find a decent collar with good hardware anymore.

We get all of our leads and collars from a old man in wisconsin that makes them in his garage.  He can do just about any color and on the collars he can do 1" wide up to 2 1/2" wide...we got all orange and our buddies have blue and green so we know whos lead is whos...and the name plates are really good, we have lost 3 or 4 dogs over the years and everytime someone found them and called us, and to  top it all off you wont find anyone to beat is price for the quality.

I just saw this thread earlier and thought i would find his info and post a few pics of our stuff. so here they are.

Here is a pic of how we run our dc20s we got some different antennas that hang similar to the 30s and they work just the same as a 30

They dont have a website but he can be reached at 715-676-2781
