What breed is copper? I'm watching it now and can't figure out what he is as a pup. He looks like a walker or a basset at different times. But I think once he is grown he is a walker, but it's been bout 20+ yrs since I seen it last.

i just shut it off to get ready to go to bed and copper is already grown and from the looks, he still shows to be either or in different drawings. i know its a 35yr old toon, but i was just wondering. plus he doesnt have that walker bawl, which is throwing me off on figuring him out too

hes probably a running walker. if I remember correct doesn't he have a chop mouth?

Just another Disney movie hunting dog question thatll leave you scratching your head while were at it, Go back and find the scene in Bambi where him and his gal are being dogged, those dogs I think are black and crop eared and drawn like greyhounds.

Naw, from what iv seen so far (they just back from their winter hunting trip and ole chief died) he has more a howling bawl. Ill finish tomorrow after work and my class paper. When i get done with this, ill c if netflix has bambie and if so, watch for those deer dogs. Iv only seen bambie less than i have fingers on my hand so im not familiar it.
I wish netflix had savage sam. I was old yeller and half of where the red fern grows yesterday and finshed red fern tonight.

I always thought copper was a blood hound based solely on looks.  And reuben is right the first where the re fern grows (where the main character is a boy) is better. 

And can someone explain how savage sam is a blue tic if he is old yellers son?

well in the old yeller movie the pup given had a lab type coat and was yellow...then when Savage Sam came out a few years later the pup grew up and miraculously when he grew up he was a slick coated bluetick hound looking dog...

I have both red fern movies. I agree the first is better but part 2 is ok in its own right.

I always figured copper to be a walker.

If I ever get the chance I want to see the old movie biscuit eater. It is said to be good.

Just stared the fox and the hound 2, and so far it's cute. It's a newer spin off the original 1, starting out when they r still pups.

So far it's a cute knee slapped. There r some bad reviews, but I don't care who they are, it's a good toon to be made in 2006. Them negative commenters don't know what good toons are, especially during the time it was made when all that Pokimon crap and other similar stupid jap anima garbage was out.

What school did your master send you to for you to be able to type on a computer? Do your toe nails get hung up in the keys? Heck, i wish i could afford the school you went to. Iv got a catdo that thinks she is human, sits like a human , eats human food and will let you know when she want a shower. Now that i see dogs can type, i wanna send her to school. She become the first female president. She couldnt do any worse than whatever it is in the whitehouse now.

I love that movie. Fox and the hound. I always thought Copper was a saddle backed bloodhound. Specially cause of his head structure. Lotta times he'd be nose to ground and he'd have a skin roll over his forehead. Wrinkly lookin.
Far as Chief goes.....I'm lost on that one. Kinda looked like a grey giant schnauzer lol.

If tod is a blood hound, Mother Nature played a trick on us and the scientists are wrong on what we call a dog nowadays. Lol tod is the fox, copper is the hound.
