You guys hunting in Frio county need to be careful. The government trappers are putting out M-44's for coyote control and if your dog runs across one and pulls it he is a dead dog.

Well, if somebody's dog/s get into it, file a law suit against the state for putting out a poison that domestic dogs can get to it and be poisoned and killed.

If the owner of the property says that it's ok for them to be there and the sign on the gate. Then a domesticated dog that gets on there or is taken into the place pulls one then a lawsuit wouldn't get very far as long as the trapper met all his regulations on the M44.

And if a frog had wings. Not all the times r warning signs put up on a timely manner, not even on public land. But yes, if and once the proper markings are posted, then it MIGHT nullify a law suit.

With today's judicial system and these animal rights nut, even with markings, the law suit could be awarded to plantif of the exposed dog for providing a means for exposure to non targeted domestic animals and wildlife.

I do think landowners SHOULD have the RIGHT to protect their livestock and land in any method possible, and accidental exposure to non targeted animals will happen but should be kept to a bear minimum.

There all over my neck of the woods right now. That's why I like being friends with the government trapper. There has to be a sign on the gate and a sign hang with like 20 yard or so of the M44. But you may have to watch bc the sign may not be on every gate getting into a place and none of the sign are very big

Iam a W,D,M,T   All used entances to property must be marked  , all devices must be clearly marked within 25 feet . If the trapper knows the ranch is frequently traveled by dogs he will not set there most of time . So get to know your goverment trapper talk to him  and i bet he will work whith you most of the time. We all have the same goal to eliminate damage not hogs.
