I have a young male that's been hunting with older dogs the only concern is that he is relaying on them to find hogs. I have just recently started taken him an another dog that's pretty green to a small spot I got that has hogs this last month. well last week I had taken him out an he got on a hot track but I guess he couldn't line it out so he came back to the same spot then made another run at it. both times he went about 600 yards out. he also tends to hang around a bit before he starts going out. should I be concern with him not hitting the ground running or just give him time to get that pup out. I know all dogs are different I just want to know when do yall expect your dogs to start producing and ranging out.
