My catahoula, Blue, was about to turn seven in a couple of months... I just buried him today.

My wife took him to the vet this morning while we were out hunting... she called me crying telling me the news. His heart was barely beating and his kidneys were gone... nothing they could do.

I've never bragged on any of my dogs... but he was a great one. Can't tell you how many hogs he's found over the years... all over the state in every type of country and style of hunting possible.

I raised and trained him from an eight week old puppy... he will be greatly missed. Don't know if i'll ever find another one like him.

Dang Mike. I'm sure sorry to hear ole Blue is gone. The biggest hog I ever got to touch was because of Blue. He was a great hog dog. R.I.P. Blue. We'll miss you.

Lawrence I think you said it best on that one bro, "I loved him and he wasn't even mine", I never fed the dog once and I dang sure didn't raise him from a pup but I can tell you that I loved that dog like it was my own.  I can't tell you have many hogs have been cought in the short time I was able to hunt with him soley because he wouldn't quite or would take a trail a little farther.  Dogs like that make you thankful that you got to hunt with um much less own him.  I have yet to come up with the words that would help, I lost a good hunting buddy today.  I know we'll keep catching hogs and I don't think too many will go by without thinking about him.  R I P buddy.

Mike,
I got 2 pups I'm starting with at about the same age.  I can only hope to have what you and Blue had.  Sorry for your loss.  RIP, Blue.
