I don't understand how a man can call himself a man and pull a no call no show. Yesterday my buddy calls me and said he wanted to hunt this morning at 430am.He was bringing a couple dogs and I was bringing a couple we were going to a spot that I've been doing decent at.Get up at 3 make coffee and get the dogs dressed and loaded 430 comes and no buddy. I call no answer it's 2:00 pm and still ain't heard from him. Wouldn't be a big deal but I put off another hunt because I made plans. Pisses me off.

That is something that just chaps my hide. I understand stuff happens where a man can't make it outside our control. But u always let a man know ASAP.

I had some guys come in to hunt this morning from Bryan and was waiting for them after their 3 and a half hour trip I didn't even know them but I made friends with the good guys they are. I couldn't see standing no one up after that trip even to strangers must less friends.

Yeah I don't take the term to lightly. This one is a kid from town I knew his momma he didn't have a Dad around so I'd take him fishing and to the woods taught him to drive etc. He's grown now with a family but he's been testing my patients lately. Couple months back he done me wrong on a dog deal. I deal with a fellow in Georgia with them Cambell dogs Got one year and a half ago and he's doing great so my buddy wants one of them dogs bad and I wanted one more as well so I call the fellow and he just had a litter same dad different momma so I had him hold 3 two males and a female. My buddy wanted the two males and I was taking the gyp. He's about 8hrs from me but his buddy travels to Florida pretty regular so he brings the pups when he heads down (no set date just whenever) works out great. Well couple months go by and I get the call pups will be on the way to Florida the next day I was excited and call my buddy. He says he could've gave some notice and that he wasn't going to get the pups. Notice I said you had 2 months notice! Anyway I am a man of my word so I get stuck buying all 3 pups. Had to sell 2 dogs to make kennel space and recoup money I didn't plan on spending on pups. I haven't talked or hunted with him since. Then last week he called and apologized and now this today. I guess that's what happens when you don't have a Dad to show you how to act.I believe I'm done with him.

Tough call but sometimes a man needs to learn a lesson the hard way!

I guess I am a little different I would have drove over to his house and see what's up. Maybe his wife told him he couldn't go and was embarrassed to say he wouldnt make it life happens no reason to thro a fella to the wolves over that. like my pee paw use to say i am going with or with out you one ya miss is one your behind. Now if he went home in the middle of a hunt with out saying anything ok or stole some of your stuff.

I have been stood up by relatives and former friends on many occasions in my life. I have no tolerance for it anymore. You don't get a second chance with me without a dang good reason. In these days of cell phones there is no excuse for not giving a courtesy call. I couldn't imagine disrespecting someone by blowing off what I said I would do. Just me I guess, I have no tolerance for that kinda disrespect.
