Saw a video of tiger hunting with dogs & the guys caught the tiger alive with sticks to pen him down with & ropes. The dogs looked like some sort of west siberian Laikas & they were gritty. go to Youtube & enter Siberian tiger hunt.  rare footage. Makes hog hunting look pretty tame.

Thats pretty awsome. Mr Cauley i no your a bear hunter i had some yuppie kin folks from colorado told me he new a guy up there that bear hunted in utah that hunted them bear with hounds and some cathoulas and them spotted dogs would catch a bear and that guy would knife it have you ever heard of that?

Yes, I know of a couple of people who have killed bears with knives.

Sounds like a good time to me i just thought he was full of it. I guess thats the only way these guys take bears. I thank if i could get up there to put a blade in him id figure out a way to put a half hitch and a hooiey on him.

That was a pretty wild video of them catching that tiger. It looks like they've done that a time or two.

Yeah man that looks like a good time. Very few dogs for the intended quarry.

My buddy Bob an old timer, hog hunting local legend ,has had his hog dogs catch bear two times he's told me both were good sized as well.I sure hope my dogs don't decide to trash bear cause they're thick around here.

                                                                                                                                               Yeah T.R. i've often heard of people hunting big game; ie; bear, puma (mountain lion), etc. with Catahoulas, they are known as the most versatile dog, be it hunting (hog), small or large game, etc. and herding, and kind of livestock, etc. guarding people, kids, property, search/rescue, blood trail tracking, even bird dog, retrievers, etc.
