Got invited to hunt a piece of property that I've been dreaming about huntin since I started.The fellow wanted to meet at 7pm at the gate and I was hesitant because of the heat but I wasn't going to miss my chance to get in this place. Met the property owner and my buddy's Dwayne and Charlie and another fellow who set the whole thing up.I brought Titus my catch dog and 3 curs Henry, Black and Buck.when I met the nice fellow who owns the property he said "them dogs get pigs cause If they do we got em".Walk in a bit and cut the dogs loose they get ahead about 400yds and I hear black open up then quiets up and they're all stroking back towards us they do a loop about 30yds around us and on the way by Black opens one more time then they head back the way they came and at 300 split and go there own ways and all stop about 100 yds apart from each other. Black starts baying solid and he's the closest so we start towards him when we get within 100 yds I hear Henry open up 200yds beyond Black and Bucks treed at 300yds beyond creep in to about 30 ft and here comes Titus flying by he hits the hog and its on black hits with him but Titus got thrown up on the hogs head and the hog went to work he never let go but it was bad.I get a leg and and fall over a cypress knee the hog tried to turn on me but Titus held strong and I was able to get him Charlie and Dwayne were quick to help and when I saw how bad Titus was I stick the hog.luckily Henry and Buck heard all the fighting and squealing and came to us Henry had a cut on the shoulder from his hog but Titus was bad cut down head to toe with some gut protruding as well. I called my vet and luckily I was only about 10 miles from his office he met me there and from the time it happened to the table might a been 40 minutes. I really hope Titus pulls through he's a great dog my wife and I found him in the middle of nowhere one night and he jumped in my truck window and started giving us kisses he's turned out to be a hell of a dog. This was Charlie's first hog and I couldn't be more proud of my dogs. I am always nervous hunting somewhere new with new people who you want to show they made the right decision in calling you[/URL[URL=http://s338.photobucket.com/user/itsacaseytime/media/KIMG0043.jpg.html]

Thanks shotgun66 no call in the middle of the night so thats good gonna check on him when  at 9 ehen they open .Didn't really have time for any good photos snapped a couple of Dwayne and hauled butt.

Picked up Titus today he's doing a lot better eating and pooping pretty darn happy.

Good hunt and hog! Just went through the same thing with my Chance dog! He is fully recovered with a few more character scares on his body! Sounds like Titus is on his road to recovery!

Thanks guys He's recovered good he's a little lumpy on the shoulder and gut but he seems to be fine.
