Hit the river with my buddy and these 2 young guys that I just met who said that they knew where some hogs were. I brought Redman my 6 yr old pit and my buddy brought a few cur dogs.We hit the first island and nothing went down river a bit and hit the second spot.Hit the bank and there was fresh rootin dogs were out working while we were walking along a ridge. When we came upon this Indian mound I was marking the mound on my garmin when this big sow slinks silently by me about 15ft away. All the dogs were out a couple hundred yards so I whistle in Redman and he comes by hauling butt right on her track.Next thing you know I'm loosing him at half mile down the river. So we catch up the other dogs get to the boat and head towards where I lost him when I pick him up again he's at a mile and caught in the middle of the nastiest stick marsh on earth. We head in as fast as humanly possible which was extremely slow it was so thick that every step in the knee deep water and mud you had to part the vegetation with your arms.it was so grueling that we had to keep switching point man. After an hour and a half I was sure he was dead or the hog was dead for sure.we get within 20yds and I still can't hear anything. Break through to where he's at and there he is wagging his tail with a mouthful of ear had this 250# sow pinned against a sweetgum. This dog is an amazing animal and I am privileged to have him.He does this sorta thing time and time again.I really want to breed him but haven't found a female with his ability, brains and demeanor. He's the dog in the back right

Oh yeah forgot to finish it took us three and half hours to carry her out alive. I held my end of the stick the whole way while those young boys cried and moaned but I told them boys that I owed that to Redman he did his job and we were dang sure gonna do ours. That was the one and only time them boys came huntin with me.By boys I mean 21&24 years old.
