Well its sunday, so I figured I would share something that happened to me a long time ago. When I was 17 years old I got involved with the wrong crowd, drugs, trouble, etc, etc... well one day I was in the back of a pickup truck and we  rolled it over, no one was hurt, we were on a dirt road not going to fast, but it was a scary situation none the less, well about a week later, I was in the back of another truck and I had been having a really rough time, been up for a few days , nothing going right, just everything that goes along with the lifestyle I was living.  Due to the accident I was previously in while riding in the bed of the other truck I decided to say a prayer asking for some safety. For some reason I got deep in the prayer and carried on to other subjects other than watching over us and keeping us safe  while on the road, before I ended the prayer I said "lord if your really out there show me an unmistakable sign, I need to see something" I had been having a real hard time and was questioning my belief, just simply down and out... well it wasn't 2 minutes later we pulled into a gas station, it's about 1 in the morning and there was one other car in the parking lot. We only had 5$ to our name between the 4 of us due to spending our money on things we shouldn't have. We knew that 5 bucks wasn't going to get us where we needed to go so my buddy's started pressuring me to ask the fella at the other pump for a few bucks, I refused but ended up doing it, I explained to the guy how much money we had and that we wasn't going make it home, he said sure give me just a second. Well he finished pumping hi own gas and walked over to us, he locked the nozzle to where it would continue to pump without him holding it and said I'll just fill yall up. I said hey man you don't have to do that, we just don't want to run out before we make it home, we don't need a full tank,...He cut me off halfway through that sentence and extended his hand to me and said "I just want yall to know that God loves  you and he's with you all the time" . I was dumbfounded,  and couldn't even speak to the guy. We pulled out of the station and i cried like a baby, i was overcome with the wildest feeling i have ever had, now i don't go to church several times a week and don't try to force religion on people but I do believe in jesus and you can't tell me that night at that station was just a ccoincidence.  Anyway I just figured I'd share this with yall, and as far as drugs, I still drink a cold beer once or twice a month, but when I was 20 years old I met my wife and she won't put up with no crap, I been clean and sober since then, I'm almost 28 now. I tell her all the time she quite possibly saved my life, I use to be in bad , bad shape. Sorry this was so long and thanks for reading !!!

Now the way I see it is every thing is a choice no matter what your doing. God gave us a brain for dominion over the earth. No matter what you do the bible says how many times should I forgive my brother 7x7 is what Jesus said. That what makes human nature so up and down cuz we have the choice to make best thing is forgiveness for others and your self. Glad to hear you straighten up most can't good for you

As Christians, we should try to live our lives so that the world ( lost people) can see Jesus through us. I fail very often, but my savior is faithful to forgive me.

Thank yall for the kind words, the Lord works in mysterious ways. I think he straightened my butt out because the people that hated me when i was out there are now in the same boat as i was. And i have stepped up to the plate for there kids on multiple occasions.  My little cousins pretty much live with me and i share stories and experiences with them to try to guide them in the right direction.  There dad is in prison and there mom ain't far from it. It just kills me for a kid to have to deal with crap like that. I had it somewhat rough when I was coming up but I was fortunate enough to have an uncle that took me hunting and fishing,  told me about some life lessons and I can't express to him how much I appreciate it. He told me in the deer stand that it'll be my turn one day. Well that day is here and I'm loving it !! Yall be safe out there !!!

I'm pleased to see you are steppin up. Dang shame for kids to have worthless parents tho. It is important for them to have someone like you to show them their parents way is not the only way. Too many kids don't get that!

Thanks...that was a powerful story...I read it when you first posted and again today...I also had my wife read it...many times in my young life I questioned if god was for real...and then I would remember one night in my young life when I saw something happen...which started me to believing.... and then I knew he was and is for real...

Thank yall. I don't really tell that story to often, I just kinda wait until the right time presents itself. I like it when I can tell something that happened to me and see it touch other people. I get the chills when I tell it and usually so does the person I'm telling it to. It was by far one of the most powerful thing that has happened to me. and thank god for my wife. I was on the fast track to something tragic before I met her.

Thank yall, I'm not proud of a lot of things I've done but it's a part of my life and one of those things I've "lived and learned" from. But on the other hand I an proud to say I laid some things down that had a firm hold on me. Now I'm hooked on these $!#@ dogs. Is there ever any hope for this kind of stuff ? lol.
