Just lost my lead dog to erlichiosis today. He's been up and down since the last of March first of April. 2 vets told me it was hook worms. Kept treating him and no results. 2 blood tests before it was diagnosed. In my heart I knew it was too late but he would do better a few days then relapse. Never did get his appetite back. Took me a few years to get going again after some bad luck, now I will be depending on some young ones to step up. He wasn't the best I've had but he was in the top 3 or 4 in 20 plus years of these cur dogs and hog dogs. You can bet any sign and no hesitation, I'll get them on antibiotics. Rough way to lose one.
