I think a lot of the old school blood in plot hounds wouldn't be afraid to pull some hair out of a bears ass or slobber in a hogs face. I don't know Cajun and have never hunted behind any of his dogs. But I will say I have seen A TON of posts on here about his dogs and his character and haven't seen one negative comment. I wouldn't be afraid try one for sure.

Thanks everybody for the kind words. There are several strains out there that are rough. Most of my dogs do go back to Weems, Swampland, and Shamrock breeding. Roy clarks Laurel Mtn. Plotts are rough. Joe Hudsons dogs are rough. Weems is just about gone. There are a few dedicated breeders that are still breeding his line of dogs with great success. Judge, never to late. lol

No idea what line my plotts are from just back yard breeding but they are some real gritty things some are suicidal on hogs an real gritty on bear which it takes a gritty dog some times to put a big bear up the tree here on the coast of north carolina

I got dogs from mike and you can't ask for a dog with more gritt and heart. I would recomend him to anyone. He has taught me a lot and is a true friend.

I have dogs from mike and mr Orval Roberts. Mr Roberts did not like a gritty dog and he breed for cold nose. With those from mr Roberts and mikes they work great for me. Not saying mikes dog are hot nosed by any means they have great noses just not the super cold nose. I feel with mikes dogs just put em in te woods they are like naturals, I ain't the best trainer lol.
