I bought a house last fall and there is a lot of sand on the part of my property im going to build my kennels, and about an acre is just bad with what I call sugar ants, they don't seem to have any beds, but man its bad, but that's the best place I can put my dogs. That being said what is the best thing anybody can think of to kill them? Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys!

Not sure where ya call home but im here n oklahoma. I had a couple ant beds round some of my dogs that were to close for comfort. I put amdro down right on the hole aint had a single ant in that area n a year. I cant remember but i thank i got it at tractor supply or atwoods and i thank walmart carries it. Idk i would try that i had good luck only took a few hours before i saw a huge difference in numbers.

Amdro and Sevin granules should solve your problem. I also spray premethrin 10%. If you do any or all of those the ants will be gone with no question.

I've spent a ton of money on fire ant control in the past...it was an ongoing fight...this is what I concocted and it repels mosquito's and all kinds of insects including spiders for quite a long time...fleas will be dead and gone as well...all ants gone... http://www.domyownpestcontrol.com/bifen-xts-p-1236.htmlbuy a quart of bifen xts and one container of cutter mosquito spray which is the one that you hook up to your hose... pour out 1/2 of the cutter into a storage container and put close to half the bottle of the bifen in the cutter container and string out your water hose...hook up the cutter container to the hose and stray the area...one bottle should empty out in about 5 minutes so move around fast. repeat to cover the rest of the area as needed...and that means to pour the other half of the cutter back into the cutter container... I killed off 20 or more mounds on the first treatment last year which was all the mounds I saw...this year I had 2 mounds and I waited until the mosquitos were bad and then I repeated the treatment and those are gone as well...easy as 1,2,3...

Training dogs is not about quantity, it's more about timing, the right situations, and proper guidance...After that it's up to the dog... A hunting dog is born not made...
