If this hog is just inbred then yall can go ahead and delete this but was just wounding if there was some other kinda breed that makes them like that her head has no slop to it from her 4head to her noise it's straight

In one particular area I catch a bunch that look like that.    They are ugly bastereds.    Their heads look like skin was heat shrunk over a skull with no muscle tissue in between.

P wilson, There are three factors on why she has a nose like that.
1. She has a lot of russian in her.
2, She is poor, if she was fat, her jowls would fill out & her nose would not look quite so long.
3. She is sheded out & that also makes her nose look long.

We catch a lot that look like that in the summer but in the winter when they have their hair & if they are filled out, their snouts do not look as long.

I agree with the last 2 posts...and to throw in a little theory in there...the Russian blood is showing up more because the domestic looking hogs are getting caught first...and that leaves those that look more of the Russian type to breed another day...it is called evolution...the better the dogs the faster the process...

It may have contracted Long Snout Syndrome from that catch dog in your other picture. It's very contagious !!  Grin Wink

Lance that's my buddy catch dog and that dog showed up at the house as a puppy and turned in to his best catch dog but that makes sence every one I just ain't never seen no number 2 like that I have caught lots of hogs in the past 5 years but never no number 2 like that but glad to know I figured she was just her brothers sister and aunt and grandma
