Had a pretty good hunt early Saturday morning after that cold front came through. Was 70 degrees when we dropped the tail gate. All the dogs hunted good. I brought PJ and Fred. DaveTBH brought Bill and Blue, and Dallas brought JR and Zip. Fred and Bill were running something for an hour or so about a mile away in a creek bed, and we had decided to head closer to em. On the way there JR jumped a group and started sounding off. He ended up lining one out and the rest of he dogs honored him and the fight began. PJ got cut loose from about 100 yrds out, then we all waited for the catch... They ended up breaking and fighting and got caught solid 260 yrds out. By the time we got to em the boar wasn't going anywhere... Dispatched the hog, and took to the trucks. Couple dogs took some cuts, but luckily there wasn't anything serious. PJ being the only CD on the hog other than the curs made me smile for sure. That gave me the last bit of confidence I needed from her to know she is capable of doing it solo. Good hunt all the way around... It's good to see the young dogs strike over Fred. Been a long time coming.

Thanks bud! It was nice to finally get another decent hog, but the cuts I could have done without... Lol the real impressive thing was seeing JR line that boar out and do work. Dogs born on our yard, raised and trained, coming full circle to finding his own hog... That's what it's all about to me. Awesome feeling!

That is awesome about that  JR dog stepping up like that !

I like seeing young dogs turn on that  "want to " also .. It's like they're downloading it from their genes or something and it just clicks  haha
Really cool hope everything keeps going well for y'all !

Take care

Thanks guys... And yeah, we are pretty picky when it comes to what pups we keep. We expose to all situations early on while they're pups, and continue on until they're ready for the big woods. Seems to be working fairly well. Hoping to go out this weekend as well, but idk if I want to put up with this heat that we're supposed to have.

Thank ya. That's Bill, he's Fred's son. I think he's on the way to making DavidTBH a heck of a dog.
