Breed of dog developed by Richard Guthrie of brownwood texas. It's started as an accidental breeding of a Tree walker dog to a schnauzer. The pups showed great tracking ability and agility so he decided to see if he could do better. Added fox terrier and patterdale blood. Then took those pups and bred them to American Staffordshire terrier and the breed has now stabilized. Apparently Guthrie weans these pups for about $200. The dogs are said to track like a hound, and be fearless. Google "Guthrie Texas Terriers" there's an article that will pop up about them... I'm dead set on wanting one so I'm in the works of trying to find some pups

I've spoke with the man who was supposedly given all the breeding stock. He's got one available now but I'm just not at a place when I can raise a pup like I want to. In a month or 2 I should be ready. These dogs are supposed to be bad little dudes. I want to give him the best chance coming up to make a dog. Can't do that right now so I'm gonna hold off
