I have a rigid 3000 psi pressure washer, model number 80746. It has a subaru engine and is very easy to start, problem is it will start , then cut off after only a few seconds,  starts on first pull ever time. .

Those pumps are very simple and hardy I wouldn't think that would be the problem but you never know. But I wouldn't start with the part that supply's the power fuel related

Thank you sir,  i was just wondering if it would sit there and run if the pump was bad so that I could go ahead and eliminate that all together, or if maybe it has some kind of shut off type deal that is shutting it down to prevent problems.

It will sit there and run on full choke.  But as soon as i take it off and the engine begins to rev it cuts off immediately.  It doesn't sputter and then die. Just cuts all the way off like I flipped the switch to kill it.

have you tried holding the gun trigger while starting it? mine does this every now and then. it did it bad when i first got it home. i ran the dog piss out of twitch the pump disconnected and it solved most of the issues. when mine does do the same as you are describing, i start it with the trigger held to it doesn't bog the engine down right off the bat.

the idle circuit is seporate from main jet,the choke would alow carb to pull fuel in thru main jet but it sounds like its clogged up.with todays crap fuel if you let it sit without use it will gum up the main jet with green looking stuff.drop the bowl unscrew the main jet in upper center of carb with regular flat blade driver and clean it out .dont burr it up .when u get it going add fuel stablelizer or make sure you run it out of gas before storing.
