How much would a good deer blood tracking dog run me? How hard is it to train one and is it worth training one or just spending the money and buying already to go?

50 bucks I would say. I always just used one of my deer dogs on a leash. Found 27 last year and not with the same dog. Found 2 Saturday a doe and 8 point. Father and daughter bow hunt lil girl hit the buckin the back end high. Dad shot doe and ran in a thick pine plantstion.

Could you use a good hog dog to find a wounded deer if your in a bind and need one immediately or do they need to be just a straight blood dog? Thanks for the info
