Man that sounds awesome! Hogs don't have a prayer! I'll have to admit Black freak you got my excited about making this change. Take my money and tell me where I come to pick up these "fender benders" up at. I'm like a kid on Christmas mourning! I think I might quit my job and just catch and sell hogs when I get my pack of "flamin rappers" going. Lets see.......... if I hunt 5 days a week and strike hogs 4 out of 5 hunts I can possibly catch $400-$600 worth of hogs a week because nothing will get away. I'm gonna need a couple females black hawk, my buddies will see my success and I'll be able to sell pups as fast as I can raise them. Huh, combine pup sells with my hog sells and I may be able to live out my dream of starting my own business. Male strippers make a load of cash and I know I have the body for it and have been wanting to open my own male strip club for years. Wow this is exciting!! I never thought I could get this up and running but with the help of Blue Stomper and his "flagger hangers" I'll be shaking my sexy butt in no time. I already have several thongs picked out and I bet the ladies will pour in the first night I open the doors. Wow, just think I'm gonna acheive all this success because Black jacker showed me the light and cut me in on his "grinder rounders" I'll PM you for the pay and pick-up info on my new pack. Thanks again Black momma!
Lol that was pretty funny! But on to a serious note, the guy whom I got my pups from that I started with does make his living off catching hogs with these dogs. He been doing it for I'm assuming close to a couple decades now. The line of dogs i run are his and I work with him in progressing this line of dogs forward by breeding the best to the best. These dogs will only be given to like minded people. Yeah you read right, I said GIVEN not sold to like minded people. I dont really mean any disrespect when I tell you that I won't be intentionally giving you any dogs of this line. Breeding are not done to sell pups, only to progress the line forward. Plus I won't be giving his line of dogs away to every Tom, Dick, and Harry and jeprodize my friendship with him. I have more respect for what he allowed me to be apart of than that. I'm very certain you don't realize it, but the more you have me talk about my dogs, the more people contact me and want to know more about them and want to use them, thus the farther down the proverbial list you go in your goal to obtain one lol. In all truths though this line of dogs isn't bred for selling puppies, it's so that the line is bettered and so like minded people can enjoy hunting with them if this style of hog dogging is how they want to hunt. Ain't no half azzing with these dogs or you take away thier edge and what makes them so successful. You either all in and hunt strictly these dogs when you hunt them or they aint for you. If you can't do that then you essentially nullifie the reason for having them and their effectiveness. If you can't follow what I'm saying, then these type hunting dogs are not for you because you will render them ineffective or get them killed. |

What a bunch of damned blowhards. I joined here to learn a thing or two I didn't know, but I sure enough know a 2 bit bully when I see one. New to the forum, been hunting for 3 years now, I hunt in North Florida swamps on the gulf coast. I started with cracker curs and now have added hounds. All my curs are gritty and will catch up to a 300lb hog at this point so no need for a bull dog. It's really thick and swampy where I hunt and in Dixie County and they run hounds like it's going out of style. We use to hunt WMA areas and thought we had great dogs, but got put in place once we started running in hound country at a private club. So now I run a mix of curs and hounds, we use to walk curs into thick sign but that wasn't real hog hunting and now we cast and do much better. I say we usually catch a hog or two a month, I just love hunting and being out in the woods. Nice to see what other weekend warriors are doing.

That's fine think what ever you want it's your opinion and that's mine. But any one who has hunted very long knows that it don't take very long to stack up numbers when there is a lot of hogs around. I have been on good spots with big numbers with average dogs and caught a lot as many as others maybe not but this debate is a joke sir numbers mean there are plenty to catch if the dog is out standing or not. I tryed golf in the 80ds didn't like it.

I don't get why you keep saying I don't have a hog dog you don't know what I got slick. Just stay on your buggy with that cold beer between your legs and think what ever you like brother. I just don't care what you think a dog is or isn't the hog numbers say there are a lot when you catch a lot if the dog is what you call a dog or not. But I would like to see a dog bay 30 hogs where there is only 3 or 4.

Never said a dog ain't better the simple fact is more hog more opportunities the dog has. In good numbers the lesser dog will get the job if the true hog dog finds ten and the less 7 on average after a few hunts the numbers will be high for each dog is what I am saying more hogs more chances. And if the better dog sticks to one hog longer wich is what we all want don't care who you are. And the less dog finds more in the same time the numbers will not show the dogs true work. Now I know any person with any logic would agree with that

How can you not realize the amount of hogs you have available to catch does make a difference? If I'm hunting a 2000 ac ranch that only has 10 hogs on it and someone else is hunting the same size place but has 100 hogs on it, who the hell do you think is gonna be able to catch more hogs? My six year old can figure the answer to that out. |
