The rains coming this weekend and I need to get some replacement heifers out of the muddy pens and drove to pasture. Decided to start dog breaking them this morning with a couple young gyps. Will give it another go this evening and tomorrow before driving them off Friday. These gyps impressed me today.

They sure look like they're doing it right ! Are they Kelpies ?

There are a pair of dogs at Terrell Animal Shelter look just like your two. I'll bet somebody in Terrell is missing a couple good dogs.
In case they don't find the owner and you know anybody interested here is the links to the Terrell facebook page with pics of the two.

They may still be on hold to see if the owner comes forward, but they will be released soon. I think adoption is $80

I don't know kelpies either, that's what somebody commented on the dogs picture. Hard to see your dogs across the pen they just looked real similar to those other two from the pics so I started assuming things haha.
Is this the first your 2 have been on cows ? They are taking to it quick by the looks of it.

10-4 appreciate it. They have been on 5 or 6 gatherings with my older dogs but this is the first time they've been without guidance

Looks like they got it to me. I've never worked cows with dogs but my neighbor runs bunch of cow down near river. Suppose to go drive some to rye grass pastures later in winter. Can't wait. He uses curs and heelers. That last pic is great with them held up tight
