I have a dt system, its an older style but works great, I can reach out around a mile or so with it. The company is from dallas, check them out @ dtsystems.com

Nothing but tri-tronics, the classic 70 g3 exp. has good range and you can purchase additional collars to go to it.  Just push the buttons and your new collar programs to it.

Tri-Tronics Trash Breaker G3 is the best one I have found to date. Long range fast charging and built tough

I had bad luck with the 2 classic 70's that I bought.  The 1st one quit wouldn't charge after a week. The 2nd one quit shocking after 3 weeks.  I have since used a buddys and it works great.   I ended up buying a Dogtra and I love it.  The hand held part is a lot smaller and it gets the same range.  The battery stays up for a long time too.
I tried innotek and they didn't have enough "umph" when they did work.

I think as long as you stay with a higher end brand you will be happy.
