Well the story goes like this... I got in the stand late and realized that the stand that I set up (the night before) was not in a good place so I ease out of my stand. And head to my other stand on the other side of a slough. I walk to the slough and get in the middle and realize it is to deep to cross so instead of going back to my other stand I just stopped where I was. I found a small tree in the water and stood on a floating log. I stood there about 15 min and I heard something coming behind me. I turn around and doe is coming I put it on her and she stops and I decided not shoot. Another doe comes and I let her walk. A few minutes later I heard him coming through the water. He came by me at 15 yds and looked at me standing by a tala tree with a leaf suit, put his back down and started chasing the does and I busted him in the neck. I hadn't been in the woods for an hour. Then I had a 150yd drag by myself but it was worth it. It was my first hunt at our piece of property.
