Ok so I just found out Bella is not 13-14 months she's more like 4-5 years!! I could have sworn Chris said she was young and with the way she hunts and how it seems like she still getting the hang of things I just assumed she was young.... Nope, not the case at all. She just wasn't started when Chris got her as a grown dog and she's only been on hogs for a year or 2. I'm currently trippin

Yeah that's kinda the deal with her. If she takes a track and runs it farther than about 300 yards. She's gonna run it until there's a pig at the end. I still think she has a lot of room to get better but she's already probably the second best dog I have besides my lady gyp and both them dogs came from my buddy Chris.

I really like the looks of them lacy dogs! Nice to see some good ones out there, I had one that was half BMC that I had high hopes for but he ended up being a horrible poop stomper, I could not figure out how to break him of that habit

I've heard a lot of people say that they've never met a lacy hog dog that they liked very much. But I've never heard a reason why. I wonder if it has to do with how slow starting and hard headed these dogs are? Or at least Bella is. What kind of temperament does trixy have blastin? And what about flash there peel?  Bella is a grouch. Not dog aggressive but she doesn't put up with other dogs who don't have manners. And I have to get pretty aggressive to get her to roll off a hog in the woods. But one I throw it in the bed of the mule or truck, even still alive she won't mess with it, but on the ground or In the woods you gotta lead her away from it a good ways.

Flash has a good handle but he don't take no mess from another dog. When he was younger he could be a little moody but not much any more. He ain't much teeth left he might not fair to good in a dog fight lol. He will ride in the seat next to me in the truck eat biscuits and gravy at whatabuger in the drive thru lol

Sounds like he's your best friend! I got a pup coming up that comes from good dogs. Acts right and at 4 months old bayed a decent sow I turned loose in a pasture for over an hour. I think Poncho is gonna be my shotgun rider, let him come eat whataburger with me!

I think just like other breeds, different lines act different.  I have 2 females and a male lacy.  They are all good with each other and other dogs.  While the are hyper they are easy to handle and super smart.  They pick up on things quickly and have a ton of drive.  All 3 from different lines.  Ive been really happy with them.

Thanks... He is King.  The girls are Rhythm and Foxy.  Rhythm is the blue and my first.  Bought her for my son. Smartest dog Ive owned.  She has fetched birds, and trailed a shot hog for me at 8 months.  She got me hooked on the lacys

The red dog came from Bleed Blue Kennels lines, has some brooks in her.  King is from Piney Woods lacys, not sure of the lines off the top of my head but they have some great dogs.  The blue female is more of a back yard breeding.  House dog and a coon hunting male... But it clicked!  She has lots of drive and like I said she is the smartest dog I have.

I have only had one and I bought her as a grown dog. The guy that owned her did not take care of his dogs and she was real skinny. I wormed her real good and put some good high quality dog food in her and she started looking good. In fact some of the guys that had hunted with the previous owner did not even recognize the dog.

She was pretty gritty, a good strike dog, and a good bay dog. When I first got her she was starved so bad she would really jump on any dog that got close to her food. She got out of that later.

I kept her until she died and I really don't know how old she was but my guess was about 15.
