Do you have to have license to hunt hogs in Texas?  Also , more specifically,  does someone from out of state have to have a license?  Cost etc. Etc.  ?

Exceptions
A hunting license is not required to hunt the following:

Coyotes, if the coyotes are attacking, about to attack or have recently attacked livestock, domestic animals or fowl.
Depredating feral hogs, if a landowner (resident or non-resident) or landowner's agent or lessee is taking feral hogs causing depredation on the landowner's land.

This is what the Texas parks and wildlife page says

Simple answer for recreational hunting even pests and none game animals is yes you do have to have an hunting license.
Really the only exceptions to this is if you are a land owner who is removing the vermin because of property damage of one sort or another, or you are employed by the land owner to rid the vermin for him and are doing so not for yourself but only for the land owner.
Just saying I'm helping the land owner out by getting rid of the pigs won't do you much good if you don't have a license.
Don't know the price for an out of state license and if your only gonna be  hunting in this state for a short period of time, you can probably get a two week license instead of one that spans the hunting season.  If Texas offers a short term hunting license.

Outta state license is $340 I think or a short term of 6 days is $40 if I remember right.

Not knocking either of the last 2 posters, but the not surest don't knows and I thinks could and more than likely will land you a pretty hefty fine. Go to the tpwd site and read the rules, regs and cost for yourself and if you have any further questions, call a warden station in the area you plan on hunting and ask your questions directly to those who will be enforcing the laws and get them to answer your questions and if you think you need to, get their name and badge number. 99.9% of the wardens out there are normal down to earth folks. If a guy on here hadn't told me to check into an unwritten rules before hunting a place, I could have gotten another wildlife violation ticket. I called, got my answers and voices my opinion and opposition about the law and he said he understood my opposition and didnt understand why the law changed but pointed me in the direction to find out why and how to get the ruling/law reversed.

I was just curious about it.  Wife asked me last night if I could hunt anywhere in America where would it be. I said probably some nice country in Texas.  She said we could do it sometime this year. No kind of plans have been made yet though.  I was just curious.

Georgia, I don't have tons of land or huge plots of it but I got places with a good amount of hogs. Me and my buddies are always willing to have some of the veterans of the sport around. Sure you could teach us a thing or 2. We're about 2 hours west of Houston on I-10. If you do end up making a trip get in touch with me. I like seeing good dogs work

Slim I appreciate that. I sure as heck wouldn't call myself a veteran. To be honest I only have one dog that I have good confidence in. And one other thats turning it on pretty good. Both yella dogs. And heck I cant really even take credit for training this good dog. He was one that seemed to be a "Natural" from a pup. This dog was nose to the ground his whole life. He has a boat load of energy and fortunately he tries to put it towards the right things. He's one of those dog's that has a spot on the outside of his chain space that looks like somebody did a hard donut right there.  Lol. If you dont wear him out a couple times a week he'll run circles all day long.
