Just curious what everyone ties with. We usually use mule tape but made some paracord pigging strings today. Anyone use the paracord hobbles?

That's what we made the pigging strings out of. Took a 12 ft piece and ran it threw a ring and then tied a 6ft piece on to the ring. Then flat braided the 3 together.

I'm going to attempt to make a set of hobbles. I like the pigging strings. They are easy to keep up with and easy to untie.

Where do you get the little rings to make those pigging strings. Slowly but surely I'm hating hobbles more and more

I can build them for anyone that's interested. Can make any color That's reasonable. If you want a crazy color or pattern I can order it. About to learn how to make them round and how to make hobbles with it.

I like used 550 paracord myself but just about and rope will work in a pinch. Between myself and my buddies we have tried just about every type of hobble around and I personally havent found a pair I like yet, simply more comfortable using 550 cord, its quick, easy, small and plenty strong enough to hold a hog.

I've only used a set of hobbles once. Don't even think I came out of the woods with them lol. Thought about building some out of paracord. Tied a hog yesterday with the piggin string and liked them a lot!

Just like mule tape. You run the end threw the ring. Couple have hitches and he's done. A lot of people tie different.
