Handcuffs are so much faster and easier to use.

OK another question about tying, Is there a best order for tying the feet? top front first then bottom back, then bottom front and top back?

We do either. Top back to bottom front or vise versa. I've seen people tie both back then both front and then suck them together.

cut a slit big enough to get the nut out . themain thing is cut it as low on the sack as you can so it can drain .

If you cut him either pull the sack or scrape it. Never just cut it or he will bleed and lots of time for.

On a big hog we scrape it after making the incision. On a small hog we just pull them and they pretty much rip and it will grow back. Just keeps them from bleeding out but they can still drain and heal right.

Pretty much all I try to do is cut as low as possible and minimize the size of the hole in order to help it drain and heal up quick.

it seems when you braid a tie down rope its always barely long enough . ha ha
when castrating i make the cut plenty big , the reason is i don't want it healing over on the outside before it's healed on the inside . it needs to drain .
on bulls i cut 1\3 of the sack off the bottom , on boars i slit it 1\3 the way up from the bottom .
when possible i do it by the sighns , to my knowledge i've never lost one .

We figured out after cutting the paracord 6 ft you can only tie 3 ft. Started 7.5 ft and 15! Works good

3/8 or 1/2" 3 strand rope. Especially for bigger hogs, not hard on their feet
